Australorps
The Australorps are great for the Australian climate, they are docile and hardy. They are great layers sometimes laying more than 300 eggs per year, the come in different colours including black, blue, splash and white. The Australorps were first developed in the early 1900s by cross breeding the Orpington Chicken with white leghorn, Langshan and Rhode Island Red. The name Australorp is an abbreviation for ‘Australian Orpington’.
